Dealership Project
Nolan-Thomas completed
construction of the new Mercedes Benz Dealership located on the
north-west
corner of Herndon and Palm Avenues. The project had been in the works
for two years, with final project plans being completed by the Taylor
Group in May 2002. Ground breaking was on the 1st of May, 2002 and was
completed in January of 2003. The building consists of a
35,000 square foot tilt-up service shop area and a main showroom,
constructed in structural steel and wood framing, bringing the total
square footage to 55,000.
Above the service shop
there is a roof top employee parking area. The interior of the
showroom is what you would expect from a Mercedes Dealership,
granite tile floors and a mezzanine with stainless steel and glass
railings. One of the focal points is the delivery room where new
owners will literally get to drive their new cars off the show room
floor. The project was built almost entirely with local
subcontractors and suppliers, all of whom belong to our local Fresno
Builders Exchange.
